All incoming students are required to complete four training modules before the first day of classes. The programs are AlcoholEDU, CannabisEDU, Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates, and Clarifying Consent.

AlcoholEDU is a science-based course taken by hundreds of thousands of students around the country each year. AlcoholEDU empowers students to make well-informed decisions and provides simple strategies to help keep you and your friends safe.

CannabisEDU looks at increased research has shown the effect of cannabis on the brain and how it can impact attention, concentration, and memory. While the majority of students don’t use cannabis, those who do may have questions about its use. This course offers information to help students make informed decisions about cannabis, how to know when someone’s use has become problematic, and how to help a friend who may have a problem with their cannabis use.

Sexual Assault prevention for Undergraduates educates students about the elements of healthy relationships, the importance of sexual consent, and the role of bystanders in creating safe, healthy communities. Clarifying Consent digs a little deeper into what consent is and why it is so important; how consent is asked for/given/withheld/withdrawn; and how consent is handled in healthy vs. unhealthy relationships.

All four of these programs are for incoming freshman.

All first-year, incoming freshman for the Fall of 2023 must complete AlcoholEDU, CannabisEDU, Sexual Assault Prevention for Unidergraduates, and Clarifying Consent.

Completion of the full courses is a requirement for all new students.
